I did mine with just a screw and nut coming down from the battery brace, conviniently the spacing of the letters means you can get it just right and retain securley. I used some of the RMWB cone washers and nuts with a screw so it looks pretty stealth (note they aren't on the pic below).

Just to echo you need to be carefull not to remove too much of the serial mount, or relocate it somewhere.
