3K is a good starting point. Was running that for quite a while, but found when front tyres were new, the car would over rotate a little to much. Have now gone upto 7K both indoors and out, and the back end just feels a little more stable for me, can push the throttle harder on exit without the fear of it letting go. I also found 7K to be a bit safer outdoors on Astro at Coventry Model Car Club once the sand had come up slightly. If I wanted a touch more steering, I’d drop down to 5K
