Default B44 on Wood, which Tyres ?

Just got my first 10th scale buggy and will be running indoors after the summer. Should I be using Schumacher Yellow Mini Pins or Mini Spikes for slippy wooden floor indoors on my B44 run 10.5 motors?

Thanks
Raymond

full spikes make the car feel lazy and if your running a 10.5 you don't want the car to feel sluggish.
we race indoors on a very slippy sports hall floor and almost all cars are on yellow mini spikes.
the only thing you have to consider is mini spikes don't last as long as full spikes.

Warn full spike ....yellows mini spikes are inconsistant
full spikes have less spike/surface area touching the floor so the cars weight is concentrated more on the spike giving you more grip
the tyres must be warn down about half way though

I think different floors could be the reason behind our different tips.
100% of favershams drivers (50-60 drivers every week for 25 years) run fullspikes every new to the club experienced driver says look at these fools running full spikes and goes out on minis and gets proper whooped assed into the e final haha
just something to try

nearly everybody gets woop scott seriosly full spike on our track give a better side than a mini spike but mini spike give better forward traction which is probably why in a sports hall it is much bigger and the corners and direction change will not be as servier our track is a little bigger than babmington court. and our floor is very dusty.

you must run full spikes in they will not be a match for mini spikes straight out the packet i would use a schu blue for the mini spikes and a green for the fulls

you need to try both tyres but i really wouldn't use blue mini spikes there not an indoor tyre.
if your car is setup correctly it will always be faster with mini's regardless of the size of the track or if it's tight or open mini's will always be quicker as they have a bigger contact patch.
just be careful when you get to carpet as it will grip like mad when there new.

You need a smaller contact patch.....trust me try slicks then nobby and lets see how much grip you get.
Thats right stu our track is very small ....whooped...i seem to remember Richmond Rodgers bouncing around in the bottom heat .we didnt see him again which was a shame.
Try yellow minis on hard inserts
and worn yellow fullspikes on hard inserts
