Can this buggy use the Losi 4wd rear Rims? Been thinking about this one and the rear rims could be a big plus in my book.....

Hi there if the losi rims are a standard hex then they will fit as do kyosho rims... Hope that helps

Rear Losi rims are a pin fit, so yes you can use them, you just remove the hex adaptor and fit directly to the drivepin. Front Losi rims use a smaller than hex size than HB do so you need an adaptor, available as a D4 hop-up for a few quid.
BUT Losi rims don't have as much offset as D4/Cyber rims. Using Losi wheels will make your car a bit narrower.

I'm not really sure. I have a whole box of XX4 rims (front and rear) and they certainly make my D4 narrower than all the Kyosho hex type rims I have. Now since my D4 was 2nd hand, and the Kyosho wheels came with it it is possible they actually have a greater than normal offset, but its unlikely.
Its not a huge difference but it is measureable.

I think the Kyosho front wheels are a wider offset then the HB ones.
I used Losi wheels front and rear on the D4 when it first came out. To fit the Losi front wheels you need the Losi wheel hex from HB (#61499 - http://www.hbeurope.com/piw.php?partNo=61499&lang=en) The width is the same with the Losi rims as with the HB rims. |

So, is there a listing of "needed" parts for the buggy to get it more race ready?
I'm thinking: Slipper unit 4 bearings for the diffs (read it comes with bushings) rear CVD's Carbide diff balls (my preference) And maybe D4 shock bodies, but I might see how the stock ones do for a while. Anything else? |

I just picked up a Cyber 10b off of eBay at a good price. Ti turnbuckles, rear CVD's, and has the 1 way HB driveshaft included as an extra part.
If I get a D4 Slipper, can I use this 1 way driveshaft? It looks like I might have to get a separate driveshaft as well to use it. 1 way = http://www.hotbodiesonline.com/products/en/61531.html Please note: to use this part with the #61587 Adjustable Slipper Clutch (for the D4 WCE), you must use #61472 Front Centre Shaft, which is the correct length for proper fit. |

Yes, if you use the centre one-way then you will need a shorter shaft.
The WCE centre shaft set #61589 comes with a 74mm alu shaft. If you already have the one-way and just need a shaft I would recommend using a front driveshaft - #61472 this is 76mm and fits fine in the D4, should work in the Cyber. |

Does anyone know what the shock length is from eyelet to eyelet? I have some Losi aluminum threaded shocks I could use if they are close enough. |

The shock lengths I use are:-
Front 76mm (outer hole on wishbone) Rear 92mm (inner hole on wishbone) If you move to the outer hole on the rear wishbone then increase the length by 2mm to keep the droop consistent. |

Thanks, i have some new aluminum shocks that are close in length, I might try to see if I can make them work. |

Any setups to recommend for a blue groove\clay track? I will be running ground down to almost slicks Losi Pink taper tires all around....

For this sort of track you need to be looking at setting the Cyber up similar to what they set the D4 up in the US.
US D4 set ups can be found here:- http://www.hotbodiesonline.com/setups.php?partNo=61410 The top 3 set up sheets (Ty, Jesse and Travis) are from the US and any should be a good place to start. |
