Default X-Pro aluminium front chassis

I've been working on a solution for the front end of the X-Pro to avoid breakages in the kick-up area. The main plate/kick up is 3mm for strength ,the housing for the bearings is a separate machined alloy piece and the black spacers in the photo are machined plastic pieces.Contact me of interested.Opinions and feedback are welcome

PS : the separate steering bearing housing might be of interest to those who would like to try different chassis designs/concepts but have stopped due to the modular nature of the X-Pro front end(much like the Losi XXX series cars)

Hello Ben ,thanks for the kind words.I cannot imagine how the chassis could break as it is keyed to the part longitudinally, plus the small plastic pieces you see offer some give in extreme loadings.

Update:

A more affordable version is also available alongside the full aluminium one.In this version the angled bearing housing piece that was machined alloy is replaced by a plastic one.Contact me if interested.Feedback is welcome.

As seen in two of the photos there is an interlocking lug between the angled bearing housing and the chassis designed to distribute stresses more uniformly and reduce the bending loads due to crashes on the two screws that bolt the piece to the chassis to the minimum

nice part, now as most people add at least 70 gms to the front area, could you make this part from stainless steel to up the weight ?
I,m aware how difficult ss can be to work with .

I'm very interested in getting hold of around 20 of the machined bearing holder but your message box is full. Could you clear some space or e-mail me at tom@akularacing.co.uk
