What's a correct period ESC to put in the XLS?

I assume the Tekin 411P I have came on the market a bit later?

Dan

i rekon something like a novak 1 or early tekin but being a proud brit maybe something like demon and being an xls the demon speedo might even fit

btw i think the 411p might be as late as 93/94

Thanks for the info.

I just received the car I'm going to restore next....it has a belt over chassis design with covered belt....home made or does anyone recognise it?

Looks like this came with the original parts bags from a new xl kit where they used to use black marker and write the part number on the bag....lots of new parts! I think I can almost make my Masami replica a new build! Proper Schumacher body too.

Used to run mine with a speedmaster silverstar esc. It had this gimungus relay on it for reverse. You can almost hear it engage reverse halfway down the track too. Good times.

Laser Comfet, Nosram International, Nosram Dominator or Demon Kingfet. At club level the Speedmaster Silverstar and Goldstar. Any old ESC covered in shrinkwrap would look right. Of todays big names your only choice would be the Novak 1.

Default DT Racing Parts

Hi Guys,

Not sure if any of you have heard of DT Racing Parts but they're pretty new - I heard of them via a Kyosho seller on eBay.

Anyway, the chassis, upper deck and shock towers (to be fitted) on this CAT rebuild are all from them, they're great quality, all CNC cut and they're also going to be starting Carbon Fibre soon, prices should be quite a bit cheaper than FibreLyte too! These parts were very reasonable. They're going to be doing all the older Schumacher and Kyosho chassis and shock tower parts.

Just a tip for those hard to find bits. I'll tell you more info as I get it.

Dan
