The best ever.

I moved from a B44 over a year ago and, due to Rango’s superior quality, the lower cost of maintenance alone is a big reason to buy. On top of that I’d always want geared rather than balled diffs.

It is a really good car, glad i bought it and for the money really you cant complain.

Go for the V3 more bang for your buck and upgrade from there (if needed) great car and strong. The only thing i would get would be a TRESREY alloy servo saver from RC lazy All's good fella

OK if I don't want to fork out the cash for a V3 whats the best route to do?
410R are cheap but if the 410 have the necessary improvements then that may just be the go

Is the 410R a good start or would you (I)want to upgrade asap?

I regret buying mine in all honesty, the build was horrible & in my opinion the buggy on the whole is over engineered
Maybe when i find a set up that is right for me it will take some of the sting out of 'my' durango experience so far
But the quality of the parts is 2nd to none
If you decide on buying a new kit, before you build it..do plenty of research on here for very handy build tips & be sure to visit the durango site for more handy hints.

thanks its kinda nice getting the other side of the coin sometimes, as I know its not all peachy all the time.

I have a BJ4 (non worlds) with losi shocks so I can use my stick packs.
Its kinda tough to fond setups for that with that shocks combo.

Im no expert so having setups I can duplicate is a good start for me as I can't do a lot of testing as Im not that experienced yet with what does what and effects of changes, but Ill get there in time

ive come back in to racing after a long break and bought a 410r, it was false economy, you need the alloy wishbone holders i broke the ff one after 3 heats, them alone are 40 quid, and when you consider the big bore shocks are 100 quid the new v3 at 260 looks good value, the new shell with more room is also worth its weight in gold, it is worth buying the front and rear bulk heads as spares too,
so in my humble opinion go for the v3 the old r version is false economy [ i bought a v3 aswell in the end

as regards to choice go for what you want to buy they are all similar same size and dementions with rubber boots at each corner ! ive seen brilliant drivers with 410 b44 tamiya or schumacher

Yes. That's what i first used in my 410. But i would not recommend it, i've switched to saddle. The 3800 battery struggle with the high current the 4wd need. Both my Losi batteries lived a hard life.
But it's sure a neat install

If you want cheap spares, try amain, i got the alloy wishbone holders and all the bits needed to fit them for about $35, and the front and rear bulkhead sets are $4.99 each........ as long as you plan a bit ahead! (Didn't actually break any of the wishbone holders bits, just upgraded after experience with an RC10!)

And FWIW, it IS overengineered, but all this has meant (to me) is that the days driving ends when i want to go home, my other car (B4.1) it usually ends when something breaks or falls off and i don't have a spare.

(and my build, excluding gluing tyres and painting the body took me about 2 hours and a couple of beers, everything fitted and worked first time, excluding one of the front wishbones where i missed a bit of moulding flash/sprue, that took about 5 minutes to find, strip, fix and rebuild.)

Erm, Stotfold National in the hands of Nathan Waters, he finished 3rd. Just check how many were in the top 40 of the championship....

I'm not disputing how many in the national field and cheers for the clarification.

Most popular 4WD car at TORCH too.
