I haven't run the CR outdoors yet. I've only run it through the winter indoors. Altho when I do eventually go outdoors I will start with a set-up similar to this. I have developed this set-up over winter and find myself just do minor changes now, so I think it is pretty much there.

Tom

Surely you would change the front, a little? Black spring?? Do you run any weight in the back?

The only weight I run is 15g in the front bulkhead. As I said I have never run the car outdoors, but when I do I will start off with what I finish with indoors, and I can't see that being much different to this.

Going outdoors will be a learning curve for me with this car so it may change, I just don't know yet.

Have a look at the Helger Racing web-site, they are gathering a collection of XXX-CR set-ups (both indoor and outdoor). Mine from todays Coventry Winter meeting should be on there shortly.

try either

www.helgerracing.com

or direct ot the XXX-CR set-ups

Couple fo questions regarding this set up;

1. Any weight in the back?
2. Shimmed, I guess the rear block is flipped with a washer in the front? to increase rear anti squat?
3. Rear camber link position, how many washers is the maximum you can put under the ball stud?

I don't think he has the rear block flipped over.
Basically keep adding washers until you are nearly touching the inside of the wheel

Most use the forward holes, but the hubs are universal so can be used either side.

I'd really recommend the following, I've been running it for a while now and it seems to like most tracks I've run at.

I admit it does take a little extra work to get the drilled pistons, the change of front kick-up and the cut rear springs but I do think it's well worht a try.

I'd be interested in the opinions of anyone that tries the set-up

Steering Ackerman – Rack
Bump Steer – 0
Camber Link – 2 / A (1 gold washers)
Shock Location – 3 / Middle
VLA – Short
Front Wing – No
Notes – 30g in bulkhead or brass bulkhead

reducing kick up to 25deg

Rear
Toe-In – 3 deg
Pivot Support – 0deg block (shimmed to 1deg)
Rear Hub Spacing – Middle
Driveshafts/Outdrives – Steel Dogbones/Steel Outdrives
Ride Height – Driveshafts Level
Sway Bar – None
Oil – 32.5wt Losi
Piston – Drilled 554
Spring – Yellow (2 coils cut off)
