1/10 4wd buggy rolling chassis?
hi,
I have a maverick strada xb evo and have upgraded to brushless and use lipos. I am getting into racing and the chassis is not up to it. I don't have much adjustment at all, and am stuck using shock spacers as the shocks are not adjustable! Can any one suggest a few good quality 1/10 buggy 4wd rolling chassis good for a beginner at racing? Thank you for any help, Ed

What you have (I believe) is loosely based around the Lazer ZX5. As you have Lipo stick packs I would recommend trying to get hold of a ZX5 rolling chassis as I did last year when I got back into racing. I only paid around £50 for mine and its been great and had the adjustability you are after whilst still being very familar to your current car.

Have to agree with K Brewer, I started with a B44.1 and it is a calm handling, easy to race buggy using the initial manual settings. I run on bumpy astro and indoor carpet and whilst I was learning to drive (still learning
 ) did not have to worry about setup as it was neutral. Now I am a bit more experienced, I can play with the setup a bit more and it responds well.By way of comparison my son started with a Tamiya toy buggy and he upgraded to a Schumacher SX2 and really struggled with it as it was tricky to drive and setup for a beginner. A good driver could drive really fast with it but for a beginner he found it a bit too challenging. I got him a second hand B44.1 roller for 100 quid on here and he has not looked back, not to mention only needing one set of spares now! Loads available with spares packaged for 100 or less now.

If you're looking to buy new then I don't think anything ever has been or will be as good value as these at the moment:

Hi,
I think I met you at the Telford model car club track a while back. Durango's are really great value at the minute - the buggy you saw with me was a Dex 210 - MB models & others have these at a fantastic price at the minute. Its a good buggy. Several members of the club have these - helpful when you break stuff. My 4wd is an Associated B44.1 - as above comments suggest this is an easy car to drive - I use mine both outdoors & indoors and only ever change the tyres. Several members of the club have this car. pm me if you want further info.
