Thumbs up 1/10th Off Road on the rise?

Seems to be more and more people starting up 1/10th and also joining it from other classes like 1/8 Nitro and 1/10th On Road.... Is this the Renaissance period?

I think its on the up for sure, alot of TC lads in my area are coming over to 10th off road, cost is a factor as touring is expensive on the latest kit you need and tyres at £25 a club meeting gets expensive.

Its great to see

Same as everyone else, girls cars etc then came back to the hobby.

I think off road is popular as its easy to get into, and you can spend £100 on a RTR that you can drive in your garden.

Its not really any cheaper than on-road at club level. If anything you spend much more on spares as Buggies get a lot more wear and bangs compared to TC's due to the nature of the racing. (I've spent £10 on parts all year for my TC)

I just like the fact that there seems to be more people coming back to the hobby. I think most people just want to have fun, most of the onroad guys have a buggy and vice versa. As a side note we have had a upturn in the two onroad clubs I go to over the last few months.

Came back 4 years ago and suffered touring cars for about 3 years, gave off road a shot and haven't looked back since

Came over about a year or so ago from 1/8th RallyX the last 2 winter's were killing cars plus nitro, tyre, engine etc ...... prices were going up and up!
But still have a few of them to race in better track / weather conditions, but thoroughly enjoying the 1/10th scene and the lack cleaning a car caked in nitro and mud after a meeting
