Default Show us you Stadium Trucks

Hey you guys, I thought that, since there is a "show us" thread for the SCs, I would create one for it's down trodden but older brother, the stadium truck. With it's big wheels and it's unrealistic look, it does have a more aggressive stance and arguably, a more race orientated chassis.

So I'll kick off with my el cheapo Team C TC02T, Which so far, Have not had chance to race properly but have done a few laps at my local club.

Running an old Novak GTB, with an SP 6.5 sat in the back. Savox low profile up front. Team C Ali front wishbone mount with brass insert, and Paint by Magoo. That's about it for now.

Lets take a quick look:

Let's keep 'em coming chaps

Can I play?

Here's my mid-old school Losi XXT

Its the top-spec Graphite Plus model, i restored/cleaned it up a year or so a go & now runs a sensorless brushless set-up in it. The shell (Which was NOS from DMS) represents my first attempt at using liquid mask

I haven't raced this truck, but it makes a good fun park runner

Lots of racers this time of year are resorting to using the JConcepts Goose Bumps (in Green compound) which are very good in the moist conditions on astro etc...

We found, so far, down at Torch, Losi step pins in red work well, with staggered ribs up front so far. Was lacking in off power corner speed, but modded the ackerman. Much better now

DerbyDan, I had a old XXT, back in the late '90s. Mine too came with the Damn Yankees membership card, as I bought it from DMS, oddly enough. They were THE Losi dealer at the time.

Still are (even after 21 years in the business)

My T4 Couldn't get the cut staggers to work on the front so I cut them all off, haven't tried it properly since! On high speed corners it had far too much steering, felt like the tall cuts were just falling over.

My truck project will be done within the next month hopefully, so far it looks nothing like the trucks on here (its in bits). My philosophy is chop off what you can, see how it goes... but it really is utterly fantastic to see these trucks. Anyone tried sc wheels/tires on one? Wondering how it would look.

That was a Parma shell. You can still get them, I think Modelsport have them in stock at the minute but I got mine from DMS.
Takes a bit of work to get it to fit right but worth it in the end.

Big thumbs up there mush

what you running under the Shell?

In my TC02T, I'm using old bore shocks, 32.5 in front and 27.5 in rear as a start, with Schumacher yellow minispikes and yellow staggered ribs.

I've found the stagger ribs need cutting back to 3 rows to stop the over steer mid corner, I've booked in for the open wheel class at the short course nats
