Front ballast
Does anyone run extra weight in the front of their buggy? I have seen brass and stainless front bulkheads that are designed to keep the nose down but surely they will end up passing stress loads to other components right? So if front weight needs to be added are lead weights the best?

I've seen that people add weight to the rear, not the front.

Those weights are for the rear?!! Jeez, I have got alot to learn. I would have thought the rear was already pretty steady with the weight of the motor being so far back. Shows what i know!

Most people seem to add weight to the rear of the B4, in the rear triangles on the chassis and the space under the rear shocktower infront of the gearbox case. Anywhere from nothing to around 35 grams can has been used by some drivers. I have seen 10 gram weights in the small space in the front bulkhead.
I have 10 grams of lead in each of the rear triangles in the chassis on my B4 and thats it. Most of it is down to how you like your car to feel, and its a nice easy tuning option to do at the track.

It depends on the track, and what you want the car to do. For the slippy floor sections indoors I run 10g on the nose of the car, but outdoors especially on a bumpy track , I'd run 20g at the rear.
It is all personal choice really

Does adding such a small amount of weight really make much of a difference or is is psychological?
