Default samsung monte, cant get youtube/iplayer to work

just got a samsung monte touch phone.

its got all the bbc iplayer and youtube app/icons on etc,i connect to the net thru the wifi on it and can get the youtube pages up but it wont play any videos..same with bbc iplayer...yet with bbc iplayer i can download the video to the phone and watch in on the phone with the built in iplayer.

now is this because im connected using wifi?..i dont want to add a net package onto my tariff if they wont work

it says:
connected
video buffering.. 0% (this doesnt change)
then it says connection to the server has been lost

im not too phone savvy so no idea if its me etc

its ok i sussed it

works a treat streaming bbc iplayer and youtube superb now.

incase anyone else has problems streaming thru wifi,i had to:

go to my router config page
NAT settings
DMZ setting and enable DMZ put in my ip that my wireless gave to my phone

and that was it.

hi Dave-

I am too facing the exact problem while watching the youtube on my monte. it says:
connected
video buffering.. 0% (this doesnt change)
then it says connection to the server has been lost.

I tried your way of setting up the DMZ, but it does not work for my monte. Still the handset is not playing the video..is there something else which needs to be done?

thanks

no idea

i connected my phone to my wireless network
then looked in my phone for the ip address of the phone while connected to wireless(under the wireless connection/details i think)
then put that ip address in the dmz box and voila it buffered.

if that fails you might need to use port forwarding altho from what i gather dmz opens all the ports anyways?

Default You tube not working on monte

Dear Dave;

I have a TP link router, couldnt fin NAT settings but in the forwarding option found DMZ and enabled it as instructed, youtube still not working as in.. gives the buffering message then connection lost... COuld you advise on what I am doing wrong?? The right most column of the screen shot says some thing about preconditions for enabling DMZ dont get head or tail of what it means.
