Default ESC FOR CAT SX

I've recently bought a used SX and have a Novak 5.5t sensored motor. Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced sensored esc that will fit as the Cat seems very tight on space. I've been looking for a used Novak GTB, but also considering Castle, Hobbywing and worried they won't fit.

Also, what size batteries should I buy? (it's the lipo version). The hard case Plazma's from my B4.1 don't fit an they're only 3000/20's.

Many thanks.

most speedos should fit in a Cat to be honest....Nosram, LRP, Novak, Hobbywing, Speed passion will be fine.

Lipo wise, look at one which is around 5000 to 5500 Mah 30 to 50c (I had IP 5000 30c's which fitted perfectly) think they need to be less than 24mm tall.

Thanks for replying to my post. Ive just ordered a Hobbywing, but also have my eye on a used GTB. How do those two esc's compare? Not sure if to stick the Hobbywing in my B4.1 and the GTB in the Cat.

It's the 60amp Hobbywing Sensored by the way, not the Extreme Stock.

60amp with a 5.5t may overheat. It did with me so I went to 120amp. It would only go for 3-4 mins before thermal cut out.

Thanks for the heads up. Just waiting for batteries now. I'll keep my eye on the the esc. If it does keep cutting out I'll have to look at upgrading. Luckily I got a bargain used one so I can always stick it in the B4.1.

Thanks again,
Jay.
