Default Simple airbrush, paint and liquid mask recommendation?

Hi guys,

I fancy trying my hand at some simple shells again (I painted a few years ago), they won't be anything really fancy, just blocks of colour separated by black or silver lines probably.

I have a compressor, I'm looking for recommendation of the following:

Decent budget airbrush and the fixings required to connect to my compressor.
Paint.
Liquid mask.

Thanks,

G

I use a Iwata Neo (about £45) and love it, easy to control and easy to strip and clean.
For Liquid mask I use RCS and for paints I use Vallejo Premium or Creatix.

Another vote for Iwata. I've had a couple of cheap brushes and they are just that.
Createx or fascolor paint and rcs liquid mask

Iwata Neo is a very good choice indeed. And affordable. If you paint simple layouts, you could also use masking tape instead of liquid mask.

Iwata kustom cs £140, did have veda180's £25, but they are worlds apart. Easier to sell the Iwata if ya decide to give up.

Paints, createx mostly, started getting wicked made by createx but seams to flow better.

3 coats of RCS liquid mask watered down 3 to 1. New 10a blade every body.

A lot of practice, don't be afraid to try new things and YouTube.

I'm struggling to find all the colours of RCS paint that I need.
Is Faskolor any good? Can the two be used together?

Thanks,

G

I use a mix of RCS, Faskolor, Createx and Wicked which are all water based and some RCS solvent based, as long as each coat is dry to the touch, then I find it ok, heat guns are good.

I also use a variety of Water Based paints. I use a hairdryer between coats

Thanks everyone for the help so far.

Can anyone recommend a water trap?
I've got a Lidl compressor: http://eviewer.netmedia-europe.be/ca...12n0000078.jpg
