Default Schumacher Cougar Gearbox

Hi there,

Finally getting around to building up a mk 1 cougar, from a doner car and parts I have sourced on eBay, but I would be really grateful if you could can give me your thoughts on the club 10 gearbox (which I have) verses the original belt gearbox of the mk1 cougar.

I would like to get hold of an original gearbox with the belt, however is the club 10 gearbox any good?

Thanks guys.

Both are fine with brushless, my C2 I built that Nathan Ralls raced at invernational had the belt works belt drive gearbox at the first event with 7.5 and it was fine, at the 2nd event I went with the club 10mk2 geared gearbox and modded the slipper to fit and again it held up fine on a 7.5

You'll have to get in touch with Nathan Ralls as he did the mod, it was pretty straight forward he told me and needed some flanged bearings

Cheers Guys, that's really helpful, I'll carry on with the club 10 and build up a cougar gearbox, when I can obtain the parts
