I was hoping to attend this on Sunday. Do I actually require a BRCA license? I've only just got back into the hobby but cant say I fancy paying out £18 or so for a few months, if I'll have to pay another £18 for next year!

I think most clubs will allow you to do 3 events before you need to have a licence but can someone from Torbay confirm this

Thats what I was hoping. I ran at Tiverton a few weeks back no problems. Soon as the BRCA release next years details I'll be buying a license thats for sure.

The 3 free tries only applies to new new members...who have never been BRCA members in the past at any point, and have never raced at affiliated clubs before.

However...and this would need checking...I believe there is a point at which you can join towards the end of the year and new memberships will carry forward for the following 12 months. Not sure on that though...maybe someone else can confirm? Might be from November onwards or something? Sorry for the patchy memory on that!!

John will normally allow you to race twice at the club ( for people who haven't raced at our club ) before signing up for brca membership

Awesome, hopefully I'll be allowed to race then. Soon as the BRCA allow 2014 membership, I'm buying. Looks like it was in Nov last year, so hopefully not long.

Well done lads.

Heard a few complaints about the track that's fine but what would people like to see next time.

I think we should limit it to 8 cars per heat and a minimum of 6 cars per class that way sorting the heat listings is easier and marshalling is always covered. Still keep 10 car finals though.

I also asked lee if we could have a table next time so once you have raced your car goes on the table and your straight out to marshal lots of time was wasted waiting for marshals to get back from the pits.
