Default Pre-Championship banter

Come on then guys, make your predictions and start your trash talk...

in the TC I think Chris is going to be difficult to beat this championship. I'm going to be away for the first couple weeks so I can't afford to make any mistakes (Which I'm sure I will at somepoint). Scott is finding pace bit by bit but I think it'll take him a bit longer before he finds true pace and comes back to threaten the top.

The F2 will be very interesting though, Nick M, Tim W and Dot T are all looking like they could take this one. Dots only new to the club but you can tell his old experience is really helping him improve at a massive rate whilst Tim and Nick are consistantly showing signs of greatness.

As for the Mardave, I guess it's a question of whether Craig and Steve can show enough consistency to get a good run together as they certainly have the pace to match Paul but seem to find themselves tangling with other cars (mostly each other). Should be good to see.

Either way by the time I'm back, we'll be 2 rounds in and we'll see a bit of a picture of how things may pan out

My prediction is that Jon is going to make a sudden return , this time with a mercedes tuned mardave as well as his TC. He will unveil his secret ability that he can actually drive faster with his feet than with his hands . He will cream the first round as we are all left standing on the starting line in jaw dropping amazement as he drives two cars in each heat, one with his hands, the other with the feet, taking first and second places. He will go on to storm both championships as we all console each other, that in Jon's shaddow we are mere mortals.

Jon - show us what you are made of, come mardave racing .

Well it appear we might have solved the issue of the Speedo going into fail safe mode in each heat! Changed the sensor wire and the car ran fine in the final. Just a shame it's still so tail end happy - thinking that a 13.5 is just too fast now with the new Speedo, will pull back on the throttle next week.

I know Chris runs a 17.5 motor, maybe a slightly slower motor will still be quick with the Speed Passion Speedo.

So Maz, have you built the new car yet, or will you do that on the plane home, something to keep you busy in the air

Scott

My Speed Passion went into fail safe in the final!
I am hoping that it was just a flat lipo....
Did you want to carry on using that lead if it solved the problem?
It is yours for a small fee

Question Mardave Championship points

Hi Scott, just wondered if the Mardave championship points for round 2 are correct?
They don't appear to reflect the positions on the night!

Regards Steve

Thanks for spotting that Steve.

Not sure why that was, I've amended the points in the computer and although the positions haven't changed, you are now joint 2nd with Craig and Tim.

Going to be a great battle for 2nd, but which one of you is going to break free and chase down Paul?

No new car, just a few new bits for it to try and prove its reliability. I'm proud of myself for restraining from buying a TRF417
