Default Ae gear diff in 22

Has anyone put an AE gear diff in a 22 3.0?
Fits ok but seems to have a some side to side play? Does it need washers of some kind?

Any help appreciated.

Default Yep

I put one in my exotek gearbox, needs shimming to take out the side to side play. I just bought some hiro seko shims from DMS that went on the outside of the bearing , works fine.

Thanks for that, will have a look on the DMS site and see what they have, did you have to shim both sides or just one?

Just shim it so it's in the middle, it will probably need them both sides.

Yep both sides but as the other fella says adjust the amount of shimms so it's in the middle

Didn't fit any shims on mine and it's fine in both Exotek box and TLR

It's definatley got a couple of mm play in my tlr laydown box, maybe there are variations in tolerance between them but seems unlikely it would be that much.
