Default First time racing on cur grass track, what tyres.

Hey guys,

I’m in Australia and have been invited to run at a meet at Southern Highlands in NSW. The track is cut grass & they bring in jumps.

I’ve heard these tracks are not that uncommon in the uk.

Out of the following tyres. I don’t have access to Schumacher tyres by the time on running.

For driven wheels?
JConcepts- goosebumps, flipouts, double dees
Proline - holeshots
I have bars too but I would have thought pin tyres necessary

Front 2wd - ribs, holeshots, bars or I have a old set of Schumacher slim stagger cuts

Any setup help wouldn’t go astray too. Totally new experience & I won’t get a chance to practice much.

Thanks in advance

For grass the default choice is a mini spike type tyre. The Dart also works well, especially if the grass is a bit shorter/worn.
Tbh out of the JConcepts range my tyre of choice would be the lockness.
The others that you mention are a Dirt tyre which unless the grass is very worn they'll struggle, they may be OK towards the end of the day when the grass is torn up, but at the start won't be ideal.
A cut stagger front will work, though again a miss I spike tyre will probably be better, but none of the manufacturers you mention don't do one.
Jconcepts swaggers should be OK, but as said out of choice I'd start on spikes.
You say schumachers aren't an option, what about Ballistic Buggy or Fastrax?
Setup wise, what car are you running? Should find something reasonable on petitRc setup wise...

Unfortunately the meet is in 2 days. So no way of getting the tyres you mention.
The goosebumps and flipouts are closest to a spike so I’ll try those. I’m running a Schumacher cat K2 & AEB6 good idea to look at petit

Thanks
