Some time has passed since last time I wrote it, so worth reminding that this car is awesome!
I am now using big bores at the rear end (TLR, with AE cups): they weight 15g more but work better.
I also installed the gear diff, which is another 10g more.
The package behaves very well!!
I am thinking of playing a bit with the ballast, maybe removing some grams from the 87g "brick"...

Not sure if I'm best posting this here or not. However I'm having a issue with my centre shaft pin coming out through the side of the retaining O ring. I have noticed that when I set the slipper the centre drive shaft is VERY tight and this seems to upset the geometry of the shaft pushing it out of balance. I have removed the shaft and slipper shaft to ensure that they are straight and true which they seem they are.

Is it normal for the centre shaft to be tight with no play?

Yep one of yours, maybe I'm doing something wrong, when I tighten the slipper the slipper shaft moves to the rear putting pressure on the centre shaft, wonder if new slipper pads might help so I don't need to set it as tight?

Don't know if I understood well, but chances are the issue is in the front outdrive, where the shaft is missing.
You need to put the pin in and set the correct stack. Go to previous page and look at pics of my car.
As you tighten the slipper the shaft is pulled backwards, and the front pin/stack shall react the load.

Yes, I removed the overdrive as was worried about possible clash with the standard servo. Low profile servo = no issue!

Hi, ive nearly completed my b42 build and was wondering if anyone had any setup tips for a good starting level ground. Also i have noticed in pictured that some people have mounted the rear shock inwards and others have reversed the shock tower so the shocks are on the back, which is the best option?

Thanks

Ditto jus in process of buildin mine, the chassis is very high quality !!

Ive just noticed if you run normal way you need to drill the top deck for one of the three screws orher than that so easy to build

Firstly good luck both of you when you get the cars on track,i started off running the shocks on the rear of the car as it's said that way the car generates more rear end grip,i now run the shocks in the normal position as the 1 thing the car doesn't lack is grip and the shocks on the front makes the front end feel much more active.

Setup wise whether i'm using small or big bore i run them on pretty much the same setup,i don't race indoors so you may find you need to tweak things more to suit, oil wise my normal is 32.5f and 27.5r,piston wise on big bores i use 1.5f and 1.6r with losi pink or yellow rear springs and blue on the front, small bore 2 hole front and 1 hole rear, springs, green or silver rear, blue or silver front i think, been a long while since i used small bore, bumpy tracks i tend to run the centre ballast weight and from time to time the front brass bulkhead but that's personal preference as some of the other guys dont run any weight although it's close to the minimum weight limit like that
