Default 10electric / Cullingworth - Endurance / Team Racing Rules 7th March 14

10electric / Cullingworth - Endurance / Team Racing Rules 7th March 14

Proposed endurance race which the club intends to promote as an alternative race meeting.
I have spent time thinking about these rules and how to make this event as fare as possible for everyone.
If you have any queries regarding the rules below you can contact me by sending a personal message or call me.
A 4 hour endurance race scheduled to be run at Cullingworth in our normal evening timeslot.

1) Each team must have at least a minimum of 4 drivers and up to a maximum of 5 teams allowed.
(So a maximum of 5 cars are on the track at any one time).
A maximum of 4 PT’s can be nominated and grouped to your team.

2) The endurance timeslots will be 30mins long and 8 timeslots.

For Example
3) a) A team of 4 would have one person racing
b) One other marshalling
c) Teams responsibility to marshal their own car,
d) Except were multiple cars collide then it’s only courteous that marshal’s sort out the pile up.
e) So driver 1 to complete timeslot 1 and 5, driver 2 to complete timeslot 2 and 6 etc.

4) If a team member’s car can no longer continue in his time slot your team must work on the car and get it back on the track. He can also continue using another car from his team.
Another team member may complete the remainder of the timeslot but will incur a penalty for his team. The penalty will be calculated by race control at the rate of 5 laps for every minute remaining in the timeslot (to the nearest minute).

5) You are allowed to bring only one car per team member.
If your car breaks you can complete further timeslots using another team member’s car. Drivers must stick to their respected timeslots allowing all team members to race equal time duration throughout the event.

6) I will compile a chart detailing team driver names with reference to which timeslot they should race. This would indicate drivers of similar abilities to race in their adjacent time slots.
30 seconds grace either side of the time slot will be allowed for drivers to change over. Under no circumstances should there be 2 cars from the same team on the track at the same time. A penalty of 5 laps will be imposed if this is seen by a referee.

7) Race control will compile the teams taking into consideration:-
a) Drivers of similar ability level
b) Family members,
c) Pitting area
d) Total number of available drivers

8) Drivers who say they would like to take part in this event must turn up on the night.
If you are unsure don’t book in.

There will be a separate thread for booking in. Thanks Nori
