It was done to re balance the teams. Me and Nori worked it out on driver ability and trying to keep family members together.
To be honest its been a bit of a nightmare trying to keep it fair. With our ability points scoring system we gave each driver an ability score of 1 to 4, 1 being the best.

From memory Dannys team score was 11, Karams 11, Johns 11, Neals, 10 and Jordans 11.

It's based on which star sign you are, Nori is a big fan of Russel Grant

It's all clear now and it seems well balanced out team wise , Jon and John use the same transmitters and use each other's cars as my self and James do , so we are covered for any breakdowns plus because I drive quite slow I'm using a trailer with a 2nd battery in for mega run time

pmsl, I'm going like a nutter till pack dies. Can change batts in mine in under 15 secs. Reckon I can afford to lose a lap every half hour

Change batteries in under 15s? Wow you been practising F1 style? Doesent matter anyway, the new pack will be flat as team JP will have removed the fuses from everyone elses chargers (not that we are trying to be competetive or anything )

regarding the "marshall your own car rule", im not so sure this will be practical. i think it will lead to lots of people running about the track, getting in drivers way. i think a better approach may be to ensure each team always has a Marshall on the track, penalty if not, and you are to fairly marshall any car that is close to your point.

we also nead a clear path down the side of the track to allow people to go from stage area to kitchen freely, as not to obstruct the view. we don't want people walking randomly in the track, which again will block the drivers view of the track, or cause crashes.

Neal.
I see where you are coming from with the marshalling, and you're right. But as you know getting people out to marshal on time is always tricky. Doing it this way the only people that are penalised for not marshalling is the team the marshal belongs to.
There could also be slow marshalling "tactics" employed if we were to marshal each others cars. I know this is unlikely, but I've seen plenty of people screaming at marshals for not moving fast enough in the past. Doing the marshal your own team rules this out.
Having 5 marshal points clearly marked for each team, and issuing penalties for an empty spot may be a solution. But what happens if the marshal is stood there fixing their own teams car and dosent marshal another as a result? Penalty point? How many? How long does the spot need to be empty before a point is given? A team can have more than one marshal on the track if they feel a driver is struggling. There are 4 in a team, 1 driving, 3 marshalling!

I'd like to keep it as simple and flowing as possible, watching for driver changeovers and swaps is going to be enough I think.

I think as long as the track is simple, wide, well taped down and easy to drive we should be able to cope.

A pathway at the side of the track is a great idea. That should defiantly happen.
Also an area for the cars to be pulled into for driver changes / battery changes should also be incorporated into the track. That way we ar'nt getting in the way of cars on the track. REMEMBER ONLY ONE CAR FROM EACH TEAM ON THE TRACK AT ANY ONE TIME!
