Default Euros and non soldered motors...

I have seen a few pictures and on Jörn and Martins winning cars the motors aren't soldered in.
Why is this? We're they using prototype motors or something? Or are the cars or the electrics in the pics not what they actually used?

I noticed this too. Martin Bayers xray for example:

I suspect the motors have to be inspected?

Yep its inspection. Don't forget that as much as these are brushless the components have to be as what was submitted to the governing body, so if a rotor, stator or anything is differing then it's illegal. As such I think top 3 would normally have theirs checked. I assume they also checked LiPo voltages too ?

Hi guys. I was there (we actually took these photos). Motors in photos are not the originals. The tech-inspection removes motors tears them apart and they are returned in plastic glasses. So drivers don't have time to assemble them and put different motors on, without soldering them.

They did check lipo voltages, car weight, dimensions, wings etc in every controlled run (not in practice).

Thanks, I thought that may be the case but wasn't really sure that they would do that to the motors.
I have heard of car weight, lipo voltage and size and wing stuff but not the motors especially for mod.
Stock motors I understand as they have to be specific.
