You can still buy these type of wings from a couple of companies including Kyosho.

i saw a post a few pages back where a guy had shocks called equilizers and someone commented on how good they were,

are these the same shocks and if so which are the best to buy, i would want fronts and rears, but dont know what sizes to get, ie: are they all the same size.....

Those are the same shocks as what I got. As a Kyosho fan boy, I like them, it does the job. but Welshy likes the Losi (not sure) ones that was engineered for the Zx-S (not sure about the whole story).

The only downside I have is with the coilover adjustment. It uses telfon tapes (ones that you use to seal shower heads) instead of the modern o-rings in the adjusting nut. Its difficult to set the correct thickness of the teflon tape so that it wouldn't shred when you adjust it (more you loop around the shock body, the more difficult to turn; the less you loop around the shock body, the more difficult for it to stay in place).

I would advise you to fill all your oil first then install the tape. It is because if the telfon tape comes in contact with the shock oil, it will soften and prone to breakage.

The Medium length is for the front with the use of higher shock mounting holes, the Long length is for the rear, but the shock shaft is a bit long. You need to play with the adjuster and shock in order to set the rear arms to level with the chassis.

That's a very nice find as I have paid more than 19 lbs a set.

Mate, you know how good a craftsman he is, the only down side is he is a one man band and has to stay afloat so has had to put back things like this (dont forget he has to make the mold which takes time) so he can deal with the cash orders first, so will take him some time to sort. I am also awaiting some items which he has had for longer but I have asked about your shells and he will try to start on these early next year. I know its not what you wanted to hear but where else can these be sent to get a great copy made where it will with stand punishment.

oh yea.. it does have a slot there. I missed it. I would be even better if the slot is perpendicular to the belt. I hate half-@ssed designs like that, but it is a nice alternative to place a belt tensioner. I wonder if the belt will get heated from all the heat that the motor plate collects, but it might be another form of heat dissipation (cooling the motor with the front belt).

I think it was for a alloy mount alongside the motor plate rather than a belt tensioner. Most people who had one tended to place it in the middle of the top deck rather than where I have placed mine. Still would be interesting to hear what it was used for as I cant remember half the stuff that was out that time.

i ordered and paid for a cartain car part from waldorf-rc on ebay on 8th oct 350495120821 and i still havnt had that yet either, after i purchased it he said he had none in stock and wouldnt have until end of october, then end of nov and now end of december, i purchased it in october because in nov the value of items you could purchase before vat and po charges went down from £18 to £15...

if he does eventualy send end of dec it will be over £15 and i may get hit with vat and a £9 post office handling fee,

not happy with waldorf-rc
