Default I want to play vintage

Hi folks, I'm on the scrounge again,
After seeing Caines car last week I have got the bug and I want to build one. I need a donor car or parts.

I would like to take it one step further and use a T2 chassis but depends what I can get for the right money.

I am going to use a few B4 and modern parts to use B4 wheels so most of the suspension, driveshafts hubs etc.

So i need all the chassis, suspension mounts, gearbox and bulkheads from a rc10t T2 or some Gt parts are useable

What you got ? :-)

Blimey after all the stick Axeman got for wanting to run a car released in late 93, you want to use a chassis not released until 1995 and replace the suspension with B4 parts!
Brave man!

Wrong Pete...

Will have RC10 Worlds wishbones (circa 1994)

T2 chassis (circa 1995)

RC10T front kickup, steering, towers, bulkheads, wishbone hangers, (circa 1991)

Stealth Transmision. (1992, 94 or 95 depending on version)

RC10 shell, wing and mounts. (1992 for Champs Edition)

New parts will be wheels, axles f & r, hub carriers f & r, and driveshafts. (circa 2003)

Screw set from RC10GT (date unknown)

PETE: Would you like to average that lot out and see what year that makes the car? LOL

Maybe I'll go embarass the modern 2wd's instead of cutting every other corner in the "stuck in the past" race

It might not have a T2 chassis yet anyway, depends what I can find...

Come on then, what's people got I can buy, swap, deal ???

Ah that's different, when I read your first post it implied you were after a T2 to run with B4 wishbones on!!

TBH I reckon it'll be easier & cheaper to buy a complete RC10T and then sell the parts you don't need
Have you checked out RC10Talk.com for parts?

I want to build something very similar to Caines car, if you didn't see it you really need to. That's where the inspiration came from then I read RC10Talk and now I really want one LOL

Can't see the for sale section on RC10talk.

Have found all the stuff I need on 1 ebay shop but he wants way more than I am prepared to spend. For just the parts excluding wishbones it would be well over £100 plus shipping.

I haven't seen Phil's car, but I know the one you mean
I thought it used the 10T chassis not the T2 tho, I'm probably wrong.
With RC10Talk you have to have a certain number of posts before you can see the trade section - I can post a wanted ad for you if you like?

I'm glad you like my car guys i too got bit by the bug when i saw one!

I agree with pete the best way to go is get a 10T from ebay theres a uk one on there atm, however in the states for a donor truck you'll be looking to pay bout 30-40 quid which will give you a very very good base to start. I thnk people have gone down the T2 route and have achieved results but i think it has been a long job with a lot of modding.
As you said you can grab all the seperate parts, but the dealers on ebay break cheap runners and sell them at a stupid price.

Something like this would be perfect

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Team...item3a6b72fc5c

Alot of the sellers dont advertise selling to the uk, but in my experience after a nice message they they normally will.

If you get a donor truck anything you dont use i'll buy of you anyway, i'm a sucker for vintage associated

It's a buggy Chris, someone's repro'd the worlds wishbones which gives it a wider track than the standard RC10 - they were super narrow and always rattled around in the scrutineering box!

Looks nice yes, but as they say looks are definatley not everything! I just hope it goes well or more to the point, i can drive it well. Which is questionable!

It was built for this vintage season, so i'm pretty sure it'll have a fair few battle scars by the end of it! (mostly from being lapped i fear!)

Gonna be fun
