Default Smoked windows

Need to paint some smoked windows onto a shell, any advice on a good product and/or any tips would be welcome.

I've used the Tamiya spray can stuff before (smoke?) - go easy tho, its very easy to go too dark and make it look naff like a toy. That goes for any tinting spray.

Why not get some tint left overs from a car tinting place? Cut them to shape and put them on the inside. Gould even use some shoe goo/tape to seal edges. That way you can remove them if needed.

I have done this with yellow tint. and it worked a charm
