James, will the club nights be racing heats, or practice, like last year?
I guess it depends on numbers turning up.

I'll certainly be over once the longer evenings come.

The more that turn up the more chance we have of getting some heats in. Usualy there's not enough so we use it as practice and setup time.

Spread the word

As Phil says, its really dictated by numbers - if a dozen people turn up its not really worth putting 2 heats on as you might only get 4 runs, if its open practice you can get as much track time as you can squeeze in!

If we get healthy enough numbers we'll put heats on, and as Phil says - Spread the word

The weather is good again. Who is going tonight? I'm not working so I'll be there for some much needed practice. Be nice if there is enough to run a race meeting (I'm happy with practice if not though)
Anyone for a cheeky pint afterwards?

I've not raced here before and I am planning on coming down in a couple of weeks. If there is not enough to run a meeting, is timed practice always available?

Yes we always have timed practice on a wednesday, we've run meetings a few times but if we only get say 20 people then you might only get 3 runs and a final, whereas if we leave the track open on auto-count practice you could get over twice that many runs in. It's very good for testing..

Sometimes timed practice is better if you're trying setup changes, because you can here the computer tell you your lap times after every lap, so you instantly know if the changes you've made have made any difference. Meeting or practice, it's still an excellent track
