Default SXX TC V2 issues help please

Hi Everyone,

Ran my DEX410V3 for the first time last weekend with my new 5.5 octa wind x12 motor only had 20mins use at local club and the same for my new SXX TC V2 Speedo.

The problem I had lasted all day about 3 ish mins in to each heat the the car would start to stutter and really lack power (really slow) only for a couple of laps then would fire up ok again. Changed the motor for final to a 6.5 x12 and new sensor wire and it nearly lasted the full 5 mins going funny in the last couple of laps.

I have sent the Speedo back to SMD and they have told me that there is nothing wrong with the SXX TC V2.
Hmmmmmmmm

Anybody got any ideas?

have you got the voltage cut offs set correctly?

ive had mixed experiences with the sxx v2 tc, there a very good esc and run pretty much anything but do seem very sensitive,

could be a said before voltage cut off, or temp cut off kicking in, were you always using the same set of cells? could these be at fault if you were,

check the voltage cut offs are set correctly (i belive standard is disabled)

also make sure the gearing is correct as it does sound like a cut off issue could be motor temperature as the lrp motors are linked to the lrp esc so that the esc knows the temperature of the motor not only the esc, so it could be a case of motor getting to hot and causing the esc to limit power, would tie in with how you mentioned that it changed when you went from the 5.5 to the 6.5 when it lasted longer but still occured so could be because the 6.5 took longer to reach the cut off temp.

also think i read somewhere that you have to use the 0dg timing insert in the motor plate when running the esc with timing otherwise it could cause overheating issues too,

Standard lrp timing insert is -10 deg. 0 insert should not be used on x12 with v2 speedo.

Vampire packs suck. At least try something else, Orion or Gm for example. There were lot of problems in Finland last summer with vampire, lrp x12 and dex410 (heavy transmission line) combos. With many different speedos.

I would suggest starting your set up at 1111 and see how it runs and then build up to what you want ,at least this should tell you if it is a temp problem.
I found with the 410 that if you run a lot of drag brake the temp ramps up very quicky.!!!
