Default ***NEW VENUE DETAILS***

Marden Bridge sports centre, Hillheads Road, Whitley Bay NE25 8RW
7pm - 10pm

The new venue will be open for racing from Friday 10th April

Time is very tight on this new venue so could all people racing please get to the venue 5 or 10 mins early so at 7pm we can all ( everyone ) help build the track

All the track markers and small rostrum is indoors in the storage but the carpet is kept in outside storage so we require all to help so we can have adequate time for racing

A few people have given up there own time to help move the equipment from Benfield ( thanks to Terry for the van )and build storage at the new venue and for this we ( the club ) Thankyou as without the dedication of fellow racers this would not have been possible

As people who all have the love for the sport please help us make the new venue as successful as possible by helping with track setup and track dismantling at the end of the evening and as always please please please respect the sports centre facilities and let's all do our part to stop any damage being done, ie carry equipment and don't drag it across the floor.

So please come along and help support us and make the new venue a success as a lot of time and effort has been put into it by Paul and the comitee to keep the opertunity available for Friday night racing

Once again thanks to all who have helped ( you know who you are )

Hope to see everyone nice and early Friday night 🚗🚗🚗

Great stuff .

Might be a idea to look out for some bigger rolls of carpet , I no they expensive but it would save a lot of time . That's if the floor has to be covered .

Ok, here's one to save time would it be of any benefit to have some wooden jumps made up and stored with everything else? obviously we would need everyone's views on what type of jumps would work best in the area we have, I thought maybe one or two table tops, possibly a couple of medium size generic jumps and even some whoops or rhythm sections? these could be made and just carried out after completion of the track layout? just thinking about quick track setup sounds like it's gunna be quite important at the new hall.

Definitely worth a look at but there is limited storage so some clever woodwork will be need to collapse the jumps and save space.

Would also be nice to see everyone there dot on 7pm as its the first setup and the more helping the more we race, I hate to be the one to say it but we ALL need to chip in if we want to get anywhere near running a final at the end.

At Benfield sports Centre we were mostly in at 6pm and didn't start till 7.30 so the way I see it that gives us a good 30 minutes to get setup, easy.
