Default Cougar SV2 Re-build Tweaks and Up-grades

Hi All,

I've just bought myself a good second hand standard Cougar SV2. It has been used for 3 meetings indoors and on astro.

As with my previous buggys, I like to take them apart for a full check up and so far this thing is immaculate!

Question is, while it is in pieces is there anything I can do to improve the way it drives/handles without spending too much?
Are there any improved parts out there that don't cost too much but are invaluable to reliability?

Any advice/opinions appreciated.

Cheers all.

Alloy servo horn and a bit of weight up front are the only extra bits I'm running at the moment. All kit after that except for pistons. All depends where you're racing really.

Had no reliability problems at all in over twelve months racing.

Cougar svr front upper bulkhead would be a good change, far meatier, alloy servo horn, diff rebuild kit, buy a decent (schumacher ) circlip pliers and a shim kit.

Thanks for the advice.

Where is the best place to get alloy servo horn? Any recommendations?

Cheers

Ive been told to lower the wing mounts on the tower.
Add 4mm on the ackerman and bump steer.
And get some weight for the front.
Seemed to go very well

You need to add spacers between the bellcranks and steering rack ( longer screws needed) and add the same spacers under the ball stud on the steering arm(longer ball stud needed). Anything up to 4mm can be added.
