Default Leisure battery for 1/10th off road

Hello peeps.

I want to get a leisure battery for the coming outdoor season instead of charging from my car battery.

Question is would 85Ah be enough for a full meeting as I only have 2 lipos?

That's a bargain Wes, 2 of us used an 85Ah battery for a weekend race meeting with no problems at all and ran some lights in the evening too as well as charging phones as well.

Just a thought but if money is tight head to a wreckers and buy a van battery. With recycling rules etc the batteries have to be drop tested to see if they're in good enough condition to be resold. I bought one for £10; we used it over a winter season of outdoor racing to run 2 chargers doing a few lipos each, putting it (the 12v) on a peak charger when we got home. Still use it now when we don't have access to mains power. I must say £39 is a bargain for a proper leisure battery, but likewise a tenner is a good option for those strapped for cash even if it only does a season.
