Default Battery and Motor Connectors used these days?

Hi Guys

Coming back into this sport (1/10th buggy) since racing in the mid 80's to mid 90's and I use to use either Tamiya (initially) and later Dean Connectors!

Just wondering what everyone was using these days for either Motor Connectors (I'm guessing most now are directly soldered to the ESC) and Battery connectors??

I think dean connectors are still around but I've heard Anderson Powerpole Connectors are pretty good????

Thanks and looking to everyone's feedback.

Hi,

Motor to speedo are generally direct solder. But you can use connections.
You don't need to change the modern brushless motors that often so direct solder is ok.

For batteries generally it 4/5mm bullet style connectors. Most of the modern lipo batteries have the corresponding 4/5mm tubes in-built.

I direct solder from the ESC to the motor, and I use the exact battery above and I believe they are a 4mm bullet connector. If using bullets make sure you use red and black cables off the ESC. Plugging the ESC into the battery the wrong way round still makes ESC's go pop!
