Default Yokomo Avid Triad Conversion

Above is the Triad on my Yoke. It still seems tight to me and the spur is wobbly but i will test run it on Sunday.
Anyone else caring to share a pic would be appreciated.

(gear mesh is not set yet on this pic so don't comment on that please )

I installed a triad last night and my spur was wobly. Found that the 1st drive plate wasn't flush with the "black topshaft adapter". As described in step 2 and 3.

Have no pics, because it looks exactly the same as your picture.

(Oh btw: your gear mesh is off )

The spur fixes itself after the first run. It's so soft you can bend it with your hands, but when it's run it stays true.

(LOL)

Hi,

The TRIAD should be a very good fit no wobble, tru-running spur. I have installed it on C4.1 / B4.1(2) / B44.1 / B44.2

The black top hat spacer should key fit into the slipper plate.

The black top hat spacer should sit flush where the ground flat part of the top shaft ends.

Something like this:

The image above is for the C4.1, to get the top hat spacer in the correct position (C4.1 motor plate is spaced out) requires shims between the top hat spacer and bearing.

Contact me if you are not happy with the installation.

MiCk B. :-)

Its in Japanese but the photos are enough info from Team Azarashi web site.

Look for the posting on 13/05/10 and click on B-Max MR 2 link.

I did ask Avid if they would make a B-Max 2 conversion kit with the correct spacers and kyosho top shaft but they didnt seem keen.

If i understand correctly:
He uses the conical washer which resides between plates 2 and 3 in the diagramm of Triad to clear the assembly from the motor plate?
And what does he use between plates 2 and 3?
