Default Associated B6

Hi all
I am just being nosey really but I’ve seen a glut of B6 for sale recently and for cheap money, there is 2 for sale now @ £125 & £130. They look a good car and I personally have always liked associated but why is everyone selling them and so cheap ?

That makes sense why there is a lot for sale and at cheap money but surly there will be a upgrade or is it a completely new design?

It's mainly the rear end that has changed, and no it wont fit. No upgrade kit will be coming.

If you are looking for a good, second hand, car, the B6 is a great buy at the moment because of the imminent new model..

@Ross: Could you share your sources about the interchangeability of the gearboxes? Of course assuming that is what will not fit... I'm pretty curious myself as indeed B6s are quite cheap right now

Default New one coming

The new B6.1 is coming out so everyone is selling in preparation for new buggy mania.

For the costs - 2nd hand B6/b6d - are a great deal. And will still be a competitive buggy.

I'd go for one, you can't go wrong. They are great bits of kit especially if you get one with hopups.

Ive read some where that the bolt pattern for the gearbox is different, or maybe it was the hanger.

I know somebody who has put a B6.1 laydown gearbox onto a B6 chassis. It might not offically fit but as i understand it it was just a case of drilling some new holes. Quite a few parts required to go with it though.
