My B4 has got lead on to make it heavier... a heavier car will (generally) handle the bumps better, and be more forgiving to drive (IMHO). I think mine comes in at about 1650ish...

I run 100grams of extra weight in my xxxcr, makes it nice and easy to drive. If I find the car is a little un responsive, (like in the wet at Kidderminster) I tend to take out about 40grams....

1760 all up weight of are xxxcr, why make it lighter, people are adding weight not taking it away, the days of running minimum weight to aid your run times are long gone.i think its all about power to weight ratio nowadays and we aren't short on power

My X-6 was at 1730g on Sunday (dry) with an additional 45g of lead. No effort to reduce it required, the balance is good and I prefer to drive a heavy car.

Where is Northy???

My XXX-CR has 40g of lead and a brass front bulkhead which weight 35g more. The car totalled just over 1700g at the Kidderminster National on Saturday.

Pretty sure my B4 weighs in around 1540 and my S4 is about 1650.
Pidge what does the aero come out at on the scales?

wow my car is "feather weight classed" by now! compered to some
i can now keep my brass bulkhead and sleep well at night

It is intresting that almost every other car racing class aim to get as
close as possible to the minimum weight to increse perfomance?

So why are we closer to the minimum weight?

what whould be the + and - ?

I hope i dont start hell with this

At Kiddy on Saturday my car was 5g over minimum weight.

Who said "Light is right." ??

Do what you want to do, not what others tell you.

if you got the skills and are a setup guru then run your car just over min weight... and you will be very fast, but if you run out of talent then you will crash, quite often

if you don't more weight makes it driveable and easier to setup to go over the bumps.

my prototype S2 weighs 1590 with no lead in it.

As the car was designed to have the weight balance correct for UK tracks there's no need for loads of lead in it
