New track - Track length
Hi!
About to build us a brand new track in the north and the blue print says it is going to be 213m and 177m race line. The surface will be mostly turf so its fast. Is that too much or is it normal length? How long are average tracks in the U.K? We have a long way to go and all the machines and material are in place so when it gets started, it will be work around the clock. The area where it will be built are today full of high gras and thistles and stinging nettles so we have named the track Weedglade. How does that sound to a British person? Not to be associated with the smoking kind. //Alex |

What scale of cars? 8th or 10th?
If I was you I'd have a read of the BRCA rule book for the minimum requirements. G

Its 1:10. The rule book says it is supposed to be a least 3m wide. That is all I know for now. I am only asking for recommendations really. . How long tracks you guys race on.
Live in Sweden so guess I have to check the Efra rule book for the right measurements. |

3m wide and I think at least 130m in length from memory for BRCA rules, and IMHO you'd not want to go much over 150m. A track can be too long.
Can you show us a drawing of what you propose? G

Okey! This is a scan so the quality are not the best. Never mind the green areas. The over all shape of the track is the important part. Like the layout a lot and we don't want to modify it too much to make it shorter. Track is 3 meters wide.
