what are the softest available?? at our club the tyre of choice is the pit shimizu do1j wets, we run indoors on very low grip tarmac and these tyres give reasonable grip and last about 6 or 7 months of club racing (4 heats every week) using 13.5 brushless. any good ideas of any alternatives we could try???

Softest slick is Sorex 20R, closely followed by Take Off CS22.

Softest isn't always best though; with powerful brushless motors soft tyres can struggle to withstand the forces involved.

I find Sweep 28R and 32R to work well on low-grip indoor tarmac, these are well worth a go.
