Skyrc speedo repairs
Bought a Skyrc Toro 120a speed controller from eBay last week.
Wired it up and it was working great at the club for about 7-8 minutes when it just cut out as I was coming onto the straight. It is now totally unresponsive. It doesn't respond to anything. No fan on, no lights etc etc. Tried different batteries and it does nothing. Seller I bought it from has said to get it repaired and they will cover the cost. (I have already asked for a refund or exchange but they want me to go down the repair route). Does anyone know of anywhere in the UK that repairs these speed controllers? Cheers Paul |

Sorry mate Paddy had a problem with that speedo too on Thursday.
I'm unsure how much the guy charged me but have a word with Ash and get in touch with him...it may work out cheaper to buy another one |

Hi paul, i have bought a toro 120a esc from steve webb to replace the sp one i blew on thursday and it looks different to that one. It may well be a fake one you have bought
Have a look at this http://www.insidelinemodels.com/insi...oy-esc-black-p This is exactly how mine looks, not how the one in your ebay link looks. I might be wrong but there are a lot of fakes on the bay apparently |

These are the official versions sold by schumacher
http://www.racing-cars.com/pp/Manufa...300062-02.html As you can see the heatsink machining is very different. Report it to ebay if you are not happy pal Also look here to compare http://www.skyrc.com/TS120_Aluminum Last edited by Paddyeds; 13-11-2017 at 11:04 PM. |
