Nationals BBK software
Is the slave software, that you run on your laptop, the same as last year?

It normally changes in one way or other. They have a USB stick in race control if it is different.

The complete system has been overhauled.
Both the WiFi and "Slave" software are NEW and will be available at each event. The WiFi AP has been upgraded, as has the main timekeeper laptop. The hope is that the "slave" software will be automatically available via the wireless network, via a download page hosted on the main race control laptop. At this moment in time, it is uncertain what "load" this will put on the main laptop, so racers may have to be patient for the first few hours at Tally. I'm sure Stuart Whyman (Time Keeper) can answer any detailed question you may have, although I'm sure he'll be equally busy on Saturday morning Not sure if Rob Nelson will also be on hand over the weekend, to offer his expert knowledge. |

ok, as long as it is available to download, I assume wifi access is open, so you can just log in to it, and possibly some instruction on how to download/configure the software?
