Just because I am not booked in for the first meeting doesn't mean I'm not turning up to the rest, so I think I should be able to comment!

+1 on that. The Turnigy hardpacks are now, apparently ROAR approved. Not sure whether the NanoTech's are but they're what I use and they're the most reliable LiPos I've ever used.

Im thinking of holding a "warm up" meeting at Boughton on 25th March to try out the new track, timing equipment etc. I want to get as much feedback as possible from the drivers, if there is anything they are not happy with regarding the track or anything then we can address it before the regional. We want to host the best meeting of the year.
Would anyone be interested in this? If I can get a rough idea of how many people would attend i'll get it organised.
I missed this when first posted, sadly I am already booked into the 1/8th National at Wombwell. Gutted Im going to miss it, hope it goes well.

The list of batteries and motors are all listed on this page

http://www.brca.org/?q=content/homol...-updates/14218

You can use any batteries from the 2012 list, plus all the previous years lists too and it's the same with motors.

Thanks for that John, very helpfull.
Shall we drop the lipo and motor chat and try and keep the thread Event related?
Nobody will be turned away from racing within reason, all the info is available on the BRCA site or from myself by PM or Email.

48 entries so far, it's going to be great meeting!
Well as long as the F1 is on in the pits???

Freud termed it as Motivated Forgetting. It's an individual's way of blocking traumatic or uncomfortable thoughts or experiences. You have 4 driven wheels which falls into the traumatic.

Coastal host meetings beyond 80 drivers. Our band of merry folk will be no problem for them. Although those SC trucks aren't the most efficient of space users. Speaking of which.... I want one. Anyone out there with more money than sense wanting to sponsor a driver. CV stands at, cleaned nothing, maintained nothing, won nothing.
However, that does mean as a sponsor you can take credit for any, if any improvement. I expect my inbox to be full after this so please allow 48 hours for a response.

50+ drivers?? whatever time will the meeting finish

What is the planned format, still 3 qualiy heats plus 3 leg finals? as going by the mega club meet results from the end of Feb, it looked like the last rounds of finals weren't run.

Need to know if that I was to come, would I be going straight to work for 10pm

If the drivers details are entered into the system the day before and the start is set to auto, it should be fine. I'm looking forward to the crazies, racing and Marshalling 3 times in an hour.

Considering 5 minute races, 1 minute start times, 30 seconds for last laps, 1minute transition times, that's about 22 minutes of marshalling, and 22minutes of track time. Or in other words 45 minutes of legging it around every 60minutes.

As long as we have all the details before Sunday, we can get started on time - that was the problem at the meeting you refer to John, it took longer than we thought entering all the new drivers into the database.
We have plans to make sure the time between heats is kept to a minimum, and the drivers can be at their marshall points with the minimum of delay
