slipper clutch on Tamiya Baldre
Hello folks.
I recently got a Tamiya 53930 Super Stock TZ Motor and was intending on putting it in my mostly stock Baldre. However, I don't know if this 23 turn motor counts as a "high power modified" motor that as per the car's directions would require a slipper clutch. So now I'm afraid to install it for fear of nuking the diff. Anyone know if I'll need the slipper for this motor? Oh - and sorry if this is the wrong forum. I think my registration is bugged and I'm having a difficult time posting anywhere. |

I would always recommend installing a slipper on the Baldre, it will make it easier to drive and take any loading off the rear diff. But you should be fine for a while with the TZ motor, just make sure you check for any slip in the rear diff after each run.
