Default Schumacher CAT - Can anyone help with dates and models?

Hi all,

When I get my CAT SX I plan to do a nice review on it so I am starting early and getting bits done. However I need a little help please. My Schumacher 2WD knowledge is in my head but I'm a bit of a noob with the 4wd Schumacher CAT stuff.

I want to make a nice time-line for my review, only problem is I don't know if my list is complete and the dates and wins certainly aren't. So far I have:

*now updated thanks to Matt & Ulrich :-)*

1986 - Schumacher CAT
\/\/\/\/\/ developed into \/\/\/\/\/
1987 - Schumacher CAT XLS - (Worlds & Euro win)
\/\/\/\/\/ developed into \/\/\/\/\/
1989 - Schumacher Procat - (Euro win)
\/\/\/\/\/ developed into \/\/\/\/\/
1991 - Schumacher Procat SE - (any Euro or Worlds?)
\/\/\/\/\/ developed into \/\/\/\/\/
1992 - Schumacher Bosscat - (any Euro or Worlds?)
***** New chassis *****
1993 - Schumacher CAT 2000 - (Euro Win)
\/\/\/\/\/ developed into \/\/\/\/\/
1995 - Schumacher CAT EC - (Euro Win)
\/\/\/\/\/ developed into \/\/\/\/\/
1997 - Schumacher CAT SE - (any Euro or Worlds?)
***** New chassis *****
1997 - Schumacher CAT 98 - (any Euro or Worlds?)
***** New chassis *****
2000 - Schumacher CAT 3000 - (any Euro or Worlds?)
***** New chassis *****
2008 - Schumacher CAT SX

Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Ok, i'll take a stab at this (quite sad that i know it - but hey ho!!)

Think there was a "Cat XL" between the origonal car and the XLS. Romsey worlds that Masami won was 87 i think, not sure on car spec, but don't think it was SWB.

Procat was late '89 i think at launch. I seem to remember there being a "Procat SE" that had a slipper clutch and the then "new" Vari shocks. I'm gonna guess 91, but not sure.

I think Bosscat was 92, and followed by "Bosscat Works" in early 93.

Cat 2000 was launched in something like October of 93. Think there was an un-oficial "94 spec" that had a few revisions quite early on. Cat EC was 95, just before start of outdoor season i think. Think Craig won a Euros in Rauma, Finland with EC.

Cat SE came early 97 i think, basiclaly an EC with new diffs, driveshafts and shorter front shocks (which didn't work!!!). Cat 98 then came late 97 i think - for the 98 season!! Back to EC front end, but side saddle chassis.

Cat 3000 came around 2000 i think. Not really a development of the 98. Only bits really carried over were diffs and driveshafts i think. There was then a revision after a year or so with longer shocks and revised chassis. No one in UK ran the longer shocks!

I mean Masami win 1987 worlds with a XLS prototype

I am not sure, Phil Davids Euro Champ 1987 with CAT?

Stefan Oberle from Germany winning 1989 Euros in Sweden with a XLS, maybe with Topcat (procat) reararms. Stefan was very unlucky to get his gear and cars stolen just before the race, the Schumacher Team help him with a another car.

Procat is released late 1989

Phil Davis 1990 Euro champ. ProCat?

BossCat released 1992

Jukka Steenaari 1996 and 1997 Euro Champion with CAT2000

Genius idea. I didn't think of checking the way-back machine (archive.org).

Thanks

There is one fault in the timeline.

The Fireblade Evo was already in use at the 99 euros in Finnland.
And I remember Teemu to use the prototype Car which featured a different gearbox which has never seen full production.

Cruise.(at the moment the last person to race a Fireblade at worlds.)

Yeah, cruse is correct - Evo prototype was done before the 98 Euros in Teeside - cos i had one!! and still have most of it actually. So i 'm sure production car would have been around for 99 season - in fact, i think i remember it, it missed our first national, but came just after.
