Default XB4 4wd gearing 5.5T

Hey all

After reading around it seems 20-21 pinion is a good starting point for this car. What are you guys running that works well for a 5.5T/6.5T motor?

I am running an Orion 5.5T VST2 motor in shorty mode and was going to start with a 20 tooth pinion on the stock 81 tooth spur. There is no indication in the manual nor gear charts to go by.

One great thing to add to this, this car seems very light so far. The only thing missing is shocks & wheels and it's weighing around 1.2kilo.

Cheers
Simon

We run 19 pinion for 5.5T outdoors (18 indoors)
