Default Talk is cheap time for Action! Show us your TRF's doing what they were made for...

These images were taken at an interclub challenge round at St Ives, Sydney NSW Australia (25 Nov 2012). It must have been around 37 degrees Celsius (it was 33 at 5pm when we left), the track was baking and near bald tires had plenty of grip on the blue groove. So much so the 502X was traction rolling in high speed corners. I put a new set of tires on (Proline Holeshots - Green) to drop some traction and balance the car in the corners! I finished the 502X 5th in the B Main. Not bad for its 3rd race meeting and L-Plate driver (me), starting my racing come back this year following a 15-year retirement.

I have to thank my friend Steven for taking the shots on my camera whilst i was driving

A week before Jimmy and Vicki came to visit St Ives on their Aussie holiday! I invited Jimmy to have a drive of the 502X and he didn't disappoint showing off his car handling skills

Thanks for dropping by and handing out some stickers

Hi Lee,

The upgraded parts have improved the handling. Especially the rear shock tower and the stiffer upper plates. The camber links are a much easier fit than the Rudebits version and make maintenance a lot better.

The car also has the 502X Steering set and aluminium slipper set, trf turnbuckles, aluminium hubs front 10 degrees, rear 0 degrees. Using standard shocks with 40W oil, blue front and yellow rear TRF Springs.

Other features are 501X front arms and soft stabilisers front and rear. I'm thinking of trying stiffer versions in the near future. Finally there is an Alaste front shock tower spacer in use as well.

I have moved the batteries to the far rear position and run no additional weight. it seems to jump a lot flatter in this configuration.

Oh, and how could I forget, an LMR rear wing

The car is good and its biggest problem is the driver (me)

I need a small confirmation, since I can see you are running the Upgrade pack...

Are the diff gear included in the pack different from the original ones? Or is it just spare parts?

Thanks

@Aussie: I saw these pictures on TamiyaClub, it looks great!

Here is my contribution to the thread: It's a few action pictures from my last Belgian-Dutch Championship Round. The races were very close, I was driving quite agressively and there was a photographer to catch the scene:

The start of the heat: There were no big pile-ups or problems. I had to gain some ground the hard way! (See black car in the back).

Eat my dust! ^^

Middle of the heat: Up next was a very exciting fight for first position!

The leader made a mistake, so I quickly slipped past (but only just)!

He wasn't the only one though, I did the same and lost a couple of positions...

I lost none of my fighting spirit though, taking back a few places before crossing the line!

I want to thank oOple member 'Cooper' (Jeroen Vanneste) for the awesome action pictures, a very nice way to remember this race, where I got my second best result of the year (same Final score, lower TQ)

Spare part. They look identical. They give you new ones because they give you new lightweight centre drive shafts and a new universal input shaft. As I had fitted light weight shafts from new, I didn't fit the new ones. Good replacements in the future when the car has had a lot more runs.

Looking good Chris!

I've got a small contribution, a trip down memory lane you could say... Dyna Storm action!

(The only heat I joined with the Dyna Storm in the regular 2WD class).

(Part of the line-up of the vintage class - the Monster Truck is a Mod Clod, ready to eat some buggies - a good motivation to drive my Dyna like I stole it!)

It's RCGarden in St. Cugat (Barcelona, Spain).
