After being cut out of the 2WD championship run by not TQ'ing and Winning the previous day, Neil Cragg wasn't even sure he'd be attending the final round of the series - as it was all or nothing today. TQ and Win here at Silverstone or there was no chance at the title.
Neil took the opening round of qualifying with his Associated B44.1 before RC-Domination driver Danny McGee wowed everyone in round two as he made it through for the extra lap to take the win. Round three - and now Lee Martin was on the top with his Tamiya 511.
Thankfully for Neil Cragg, and to keep the championship race from ending early - he took the final round of qualifying to go top of the pile and overall TQ.
The finals were a gritty back and forth battle - which you can read all about in the oOple.com race report soon. Neil took leg one - Danny McGee leg two and after a challenge from Lee Martin, Neil held on to take the third leg and overall win.
Now the championship can be decided at the final round - where Neil Cragg needs to TQ and Win again to have any chance. As it stands however - and as far as we know it'll be a shared title with Lee Martin, since the drivers will end on the same points.
