Also anyone happen to have an 8x14mm bearing to hand. Is it 4mm wide or less?

Im after some rubber sealed ceramic bearings (if possible blue) and wondered if anyone knew where to get them from.

Does anyone know if Kyosho do ceramic bearings?

Cool

Hi lads,

I was almost going to sell my runner Lazer ZX-R which I bought a while back but have changed my mind, bought a ZX-S Kamtec shell and undertray and decided to get her ready for that elusive vintage race....hopefully when I holiday in Oz in July will be the 1st time she runs in race conditions. All pivot blocks are alloy so I'm hoping for no breakages (touch wood).

Here's some pics. I know about the blue teamline hubs but does anyone recognise the aftermarket white nylon steering bellcrank setup? Wasp perhaps? Also is this slipper clutch standard? Anything else that I've missed?

Hopefully she'll go like a dream...even with the front one-way diff and central one way! I'll need to go easy on the brakes.....do you think she's ok for brushless + LiPo in current form?

I might also replace the gold shocks with some 3Racing ones or some proper Kyosho from my FS.

Lastly, the belt seems quite slack - any way of tightening without buying some kind of a pulley and installing on the top deck?

Cheers,

Dan

Was this listed on ebay recently? It looks an awful like one I was watching this week, don't know where the white bellcranks come from though.

Im unsure on the white steering, never used anything other than kyosho. Belt will be fine as is but if you do need to tension it i designed an L plate with a section for a tensioner to be added to it and is the simplest way.

Spur is a wasp and fitted to what looks like a zx layshaft but could be a mk1.

What brushless are you running as if its too hot ypu may destroy the rear belt. May be a good idea to get a few spare belts from ebay which are quite cheap.

I would opt for the kyosho shocks if i were doing an upgrade as they are superior to the 3 racing ones.

Looks good never the less.

Default ZXR screw set

Hi all, I've been building a couple of ZXRs from NIP parts and have some Fibre Lyte bits on the way to complete them. What I really need is some new screws to put them together. I've been using original but old screws so far but really want some nice new ones. I figure it's not possible to find original screws but can anyone recommend a new set that would do the job?

Cheers

I'm also restoring an Kyosho (Optima Mid Cust. Sp.) and I'm also looking for screws. It is possible to find the original screws, but you have to order this every single screw type by Kyosho (10 screws per pack). These are unfortunately quite expensive. Take a look at the german Kyosho HP for the item codes:

Cheers - Daniel

If your based in the UK I suggest getting the stainless steel hex heads (rounded look nice) from Apex models as they are not expensive

If you need hex screws go to Westfield fasteners...cheapest I've found.

Hi all! I wish you a happy new year!

So I tried again tightening the nut to lock the one way and it worked. Thing is perfectly locked. I guess I hadn't tightened it enough the first time. It really changes the handling tremendously. The car is very stable under braking and at corner entry now.

Superb. You may find if the nut loosens to get a normal rubber sealed nut and screw it on backwards. It works for me and has never come loose.

I'm trying to find a pair of blue medium length shock springs for a shelfer, for regular shocks not big bores.
All the Kyosho part numbers confuse me, does such a spring exist?
