Default Motor ESC advice

Hi All,

So after years of 1/8th nitro racing I've decided to give 1/10th a go.
I hope to race mainly indoors on carpet at tracks in the UK like Silverstone so have bought myself a Yokomo YZ2 Cal2 kit.

Now i need to decide on a motor and speed controller. I have a budget of £200.
What would you all recommend, new? or second hand??

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Cheers
James

Shop around try get a deal. But you not far away from a new Maclan combo.

And they might get bit cheaper for current stock as they just released V2 motor.

Phone app to program it so no program box required. Thats 20 odd quid on average saved

Default Maclan electrics.

As already said, maclan electrics are not much above that budget and are the n a class if their own. Spend the extra few quid now and have a world class motor/esc combo.

Download the maclan app to your phone and play with demo mode.

Program boxes are 20 to 30 quid.

With the maclan you can do everything. Even reflash the firmware via your mobile.

Connection is instant.

Only thing i would recomend is a decent otg lead. About 5 quid.
