I dunno if Jimmy is gonna try these or not?
He's been running the snot outa his durga though.

I just looked on rctech a moment ago, I cannot beileve a durga beat a 501x.....thought that was kinda weird.

I have plastic caster blocks coming to try out one day.
I'll probably still leave the WCE aluminum ones on it for now though.
No sense changing the car around, when there's nothing wrong
with the way I have it setup. (using the stock setup)

I still dont get this twitchiness rumor on rctech though.

haha, yeah there was some crack being smoked on that other forum. That one guy seems to absolutely hate his 501X so I'm not sure why he still has it. He's gone from quoting a shoddy article in a magazine where a touring car driver setup a 501X and it was apparently 'the worst over the bumps' and I quote "the most like a touring car". never!

but nah, I don't think I'll be trying these as the car is good how it is already.

Having a WCE, I found the car a bit less stable over bumpy parts of the track compared to my "old" TRF501X. I changed the alu castor blocks and rear hubs to the plastic bits from the DB01 and found it to be better. So I won't be trying the aluminium 12° blocks.

Personally, I'd like to see some 8 degree castor blocks, to get a bit more low speed turning.

Don't know the car too well, but could they be put on the wrong side to do this?
The old Cat 2000 caster blocks were like that.

I'll probably try the castor blocks, and centre one way, and a front one way, in various combinations, but from the sounds of the effects of each, I'm most likely to end up with only the centre one way on it long term!

Would like a little less toe in at the back too, it powerslides in a very lazy way at the moment!

I wouldn't bother Chris, if you turned them you would end up with A LOT less caster than you have right now!

As far as reducing rear toe I wonder whether fitting the Yokomo rear hubs with an extra 0.5deg of 1deg toe BACKWARDS would work? Both cars are metric and more or less copy the B4 hub geometry don't they?

But some of your "castor" comes from "kick up" I think, I'll have a look at Damo's at the weekend.

Maybe the D4 rear hubs wiill fit? I have some if anyone wants a look with me this weekend.

I actually have a Durga right next to me and there is significantly more caster in the block than the 1 degree you would require to "flip" the block and get 8 degrees. I don't have a protractor but I wouldn't be surprised if the block itself was 10 degrees on top of the kick which is probably also 5-10 degrees.
