It's not a problem for the FS platform so I doubt it will be an issue with the DB1 either.

Back end and drive train from a FS2 would be a good starting place I suspect?

It'll be expensive if you need a Lazer,RB5 and the conversion!

£269.00 for an RB5
£379.00 for FS2 SP
£ ? DB1 conversion

Nice if you have deep pockets

We are current using the SP2 WC front end but any RB5 front end will fit.

Some more details for you......
I copied this from our section

Hi yah all...
While the testing and final little improvement continue I thought I would let you know that we are hoping to make the car available in 4 different ways.
Unfortunately the prices have yet to be confirmed and like mentioned before, the priority is to make sure this car can perform at the highest level first then figure out the lowest cost to everyone.

1= RudeDB001 = If you just want just the conversion parts then you will need part no RudeDB1.
In this you will get a bodyshell, and everything else you need to make a DB1 like the factory team are currently using.
You will need to have Kyosho parts in your spares and you will need to buy the odd thing here and there to complete the conversion. Any specialist parts will be included in this conversion. Even the balancing weights for fine tuning to different tracks and conditions

2= RudeDB002 = This is a conversion if you have a Kyosho 2wd (SP onwards models).
Again it will include everything from box 1 plus everything you need if you only have a 2wd car.

3= RudeDB003 = This is a conversion if you have a Kyosho 4wd (SP onwards models).
Again as stated in the other kits, everything needed to convert a 4wd to the DB1 2wd car.

4= RudeDB004 = This is a full kit.
So you have no Kyosho parts and you want to be the proud owner of the fastest 2wd on the planet.
This is the kit for you!

Every kit and that means every kit will come with a unique code and that code is worth a lot of money if used wisely…..
Enough of that for now though, we will reveal that news when the time comes!

Some would have noticed that my thumb has a plaster on it because of so much running with this car.
I am in agony with my hand now and I may have to stop running for a few days.
Thank you to Ellis Stafford for sorting my transmitter out though as I really couldn’t carry on. (not funny really)
The reliability in our eyes is crucial and now the car has completed over 15 hours of run time without a rebuild of a gearbox.
In real terms assuming you do 15 mins on a Lipo in practice, then 4 runs at 6.00 minutes and then your final.
That equates to some 45 minutes per meeting.
Lets assume you do 1 hour run time per meeting!

So far the car has been tested for 15 meetings plus and still doesn’t need a rebuild.
That is a near 4 month period running every Sunday or nearly a season if you wish to look at it in that way.
Good eh!

Back to more running of the car I suppose .

Laters all
